This is an attempt by He Kahui Wairarapa with the generous backing of Wairarapa REAP and the Community Organisations Grant Scheme to conduct a hui in cyberspace. We hope that our site might bring people up to date with what is happening for our whānau at home in the Wairarapa and around the world.

The last official sighting of the Huia..
The last "official" sighting of the huia was made on December 28th, 1907. I believe in the Tararua mountains.
So next month it is a century since our sacred bird became extinct. SAD.
Just thought that I would share that with you all.
